Easter Day 2019

We celebrated Christ’s resurrection in our two morning services. Ruth lit a “new fire” outside the church, blessed it, then the Paschal candle (also known as the Easter candle) was lit with a flame from this sacred fire. Jesus, the light of life has defeated death and darkness. Hallelujah!

At baptisms throughout the year, as people receive their baptism candle, it will be lit from this Paschal candle.
